One Earth. One Chance. Your Move.

Ready to be a force for environmental change? We are excited to host you for the ninth cleanup and workshop covering Forests and Wildlife, on Saturday, February 14th at The Grove at Frisco Commons. This workshop is part of the Green Ambassador Certificate 12-module community education series. Hear from experts @Rick Travis and @Shohn Rodgers, engage in interactive exercises, and explore real-world solutions.

Trees absorb atmospheric carbon via photosynthesis, storing it as woody biomass, but release it through respiration, decomposition, and fire, with healthy forests acting as carbon sinks. Deforestation reverses this, releasing stored carbon and contributing significantly to global emissions, but forestation (restoring tree cover) is a crucial Natural Climate Solution, helping to mitigate warming by absorbing CO2 and acting as Earth's cooling system alongside oceans. You don't want to miss this one!

Refreshments: Light refreshments served at workshop venue, bring a reusable bottle of water 9:30-10:30 AM.
