Our Impact, By the number

We are aware that only 3% of all philanthropic giving is for environmental causes. This has made us reliant on a 100% volunteer based model and our annual budget of $50K is utilized primarily to fund installation and irrigation for native trees and plants. When compared to charities that spend millions of dollars, our impact per dollar spent is a considerable feat. We are proud of our use of “technology for good” and transparency through digital tools like the U.S. Forest Service’s i-Tree model. Recent milestones include:

  • Sponsored several plantings and giveaways - USICOC Native Herbs (500), McKinney Swap (60), Robert Cluck Linear Park, Arlington (18), CityLab High School, Dallas (15), Crowley Park, Richardson (50), Dallas College, Richland (52), Frisco Native Plants (80), Euless Treetops School (150)

  • Diverting 68 pounds of waste during Mother's Day 2026 park cleanup

  • 150+ registered learners that are working or completed their Green Ambassador certification.

  • Organizing the DFW Youth Climate Conference and Entrepreneurship competition and awarding seed money to 5 budding change makers.

  • Tabling at Earth Bazaar, Love the Earth at UTD, Arts festivals in McKinney and Flower Mound and many more.

Cumulative Impact

Over the years, we have successfully executed various projects and events that have significantly impacted our local environment, such as planting trees and pollinators to preserve, reforest and restore green spaces, fostering community involvement, removing waste through litter cleanups, and spreading awareness about sustainable living. We have raised $333K to date from grassroots fundraising, to conduct 8,500 native plantings with irrigation, to reforest urban heat islands. This has served to expand tree canopy by 12.8M sq ft, mitigating extreme temperatures for 430K residents that live near the 55 planting locations next to parks, schools, streets, and creeks. This has also improved environmental and public health by removing 153M lbs of CO2 emissions and 432K lbs of air pollutants and saved 83M gallons of rainwater from runoff. We have conducted 214 community engagement events, covering 20.5K volunteer hours, including tree plantings, litter cleanups and eco-literacy workshops.
