Green Ambassador (GA) Certificate
The “Take-Make-Waste” economy is at a tipping point. We need to counter irresponsible practices and a culture of convenience that is depleting resources faster than they are replenished and endangering species through human created emissions and pollution.
Are you passionate about environmental sustainability? Do you want to understand the drivers and impacts and make a meaningful impact in your community? Sustainability is not a destination, but reflection on mitigation actions and adaptation strategies. We need ambassadors that drive net zero thinking and stewardship to interact with the planet responsibly.
One Earth One Chance is partnering with UTD Dallas Jindal School of Management and multiple DFW cities to launch an environmental sustainability course. Join the workshops where 12 modules will be taught by industry experts. Each module covers challenges, solutions, regulations, innovation, success stories, actions, blogs, resources and exercises.
Join a cleanup, prior to the workshop, to protect our parks and keep our waterways clean.
Join an interactive exercise to get hands-on experience .
Compete for awards for events attended and certificates completed and receive service hours.
The program is open to ages 11+; children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
While in-person is preferred, if you miss a class, you can watch the recording online.
Completion of all the quizzes will yield the academic certificate.
